VPRA In Bloom

Jolly Farmers Layby Summer 2007

The main bed has been stripped of all its bulbs and plants. The Primulas are all safely planted in frames to grow on for use next Winter and Spring. The Bulbs are all drying out ready for planting in the Autumn.

We decided it was time to change the bed and extend it by a foot all round then board it out before levelling and digging over.

Thanks to Forshaw`s demolition who are working on the Town centre a small piece of Brus House has been put to good use.

They kindly donated some of the old floor timbers for us to put round the big flower bed.

July 9th 2007 we planted  up the main bed for the summer. Although the weather was supposed to be overcast and raining later it just got hotter and hotter as the day went by. Click on the thumbnails for full size pictures and the full picture archive.
